Tatiana Doroshenko – Director/ co-writer.
Tatiana’s short films and multi-media projects have screened and won awards at festivals in Australia, Europe and the US. In 2014 she completed a Masters at the School of Film & Television Victorian College of the Arts. She screened at the TCL Cinemas Hollywood with HollyShorts an Academy Awards Qualifying Festival in December 2015 and 2016. Read her full bio here.
In 2013 she wrote and directed the short Amon and produced and directed a 50 minute documentary, The Forest For The Trees, that premiered at Lorne Film in 2013. In 2017 her script Amissa Anima was longlisted for the Monte Miller Script Awards. From 2015 to 2018 she was short listed for two Director’s Attachments with the Australian Directors Guild. Tatiana has many years experience working in the community, government and Indigenous sectors, developing collaborative short documentaries and digital stories. She currently has feature length and short scripts in development. And writes, directs and produces collaborative short form videos for the training and community services sectors.
Tatiana is of Polish-Ukrainian ancestry. A first generation Australian, her parents immigrated after the second world war as displaced persons. Her mother and father were professional classical, folk and modern dances, active in the pioneering years of Australian Dance and the early days of television in Australia. Tatiana holds dual Polish-Australian citizenship.
David Markin – Writer.
David is a freelance creative writer. He has written poetry and made experimental short films in his youth. He has recently re-commenced his ambition to write for the screen.
Katrina Mathers – Producer/Actor
Katrina’s worked in production for many years for a wide range of organisations, including the ABC where she was on staff for many years in the comedy and entertainment departments. Her films have won over 40 awards, including an AACTA award (formerly the AFI Awards) and her films have screened at high profile international festivals such at Annecy, Clermont Ferrand, Toronto, London BFI, Aspen, Bradford Animation, SITGES and locally at MIFF, Sydney, St Kilda, Revelation and Adelaide Film Festivals. Her most recent shorts were both Academy ® Accredited and funded by both Screen Australia and Film Victoria – ’The Gallant Captain’ was also developed and co-directed in collaboration with renowned children’s author Graeme Base. Currently Katrina works as a digital media producer and film consultant through her business Cherry Hands Media. She’s been a judge and guest speaker at many industry events and film festivals and is often called upon to mentor emerging filmmakers. Katrina has also maintained a successful career as both a writer and actor in TV sketch comedy and TV serial drama, radio, theatre and independent film.
Bernie Clifford– Producer – Bernzerk Productions
After completing degrees and post graduate studies in science, nursing and media arts, Bernie created a media production and exhibition company called Bernzerk Productions, winning two international short film awards with A Fistful of Heart (2001, 16mm 23min), at The Long Island International Film Expo and The New York International Independent Film & Video Festival and screened in the international film school in Havana Cuba. In 2006 Bernie became the Industry and Audience Development Manager for Arts Access Victoria (Arts Victoria’s peak body for disability and the arts). The role was to provide training and education to create audience sustainability and growth within the arts industry.
From 2007 Bernie became a DDA and accessibility consultant with the goal to build a company that could fund his future entertainment and arts projects. This company is called Before Compliance Pty Ltd. It has created the seed money to establish Bernzerk Productions Pty Ltd which established Lorne Film 2011 – (an annual international film festival).
Bernie is part owner of the purpose built boutique The Pivotonian Cinema (a 7 day a week art house cinema in Geelong), and produced the content for the media production of the international sex education webinar series “The Anatomy of Sexual Pleasure” for sex educator and counsellor Cyndi Darnell.
2014-15 Bernie produced Living Museum, a major theatrical production for Bernzerk Productions showcasing the talents of the creator and director Willow J, the amazing cast and the sensational crew. It also establishes Bernzerk Productions as an independent company that can produce elaborate and interesting theatrical events.
Julian Pocock – Co-producer/Fundraising/Publicity.
Having worked with organisations focused on young people, students, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and vulnerable families and children Julian has developed high level skills in the areas of consultation, liaison, public policy development, organisational governance and public advocacy. He has served on a number of Boards and Councils.
